Ultimately accepted into the University of Michigan Genetic Counseling Program, a prestigious two-year master’s degree program, she briefly worked in clinical settings before realizing her preference for industry work. Julie now serves as a Genomic Variant Scientist for the Variant Investigation team at Quest Diagnostics.
