Engineering and Physical Sciences
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Department offers Degree Programs in Engineering and Physics, as well as a Certificate in Energy and Sustainability Management. Each program is designed to provide options that meet your specific academic and career goals.
Associate in Science: Biomedical Engineering Option and Engineering Transfer Option
This program offers two degree options: Biomedical Engineering option which prepares students for transfer into four-year institutions as Biomedical Engineering majors or for direct employment in entry-level positions. The Engineering Transfer option provides students with the laboratory and technical coursework necessary for transfer into undergraduate engineering programs.
Associate in Science: Electrical Engineering Transfer Option
The Electrical Engineering Option provides students with the technical coursework and modern laboratory experience that enables them to succeed in an undergraduate electrical engineering program. Upon graduation from BHCC, students are able to pursue further study at four-year colleges and universities.
Associate in Arts: Physics Concentration
Two options are available to students.
The Physics Concentration prepares students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities as physics or chemistry majors.
Associate in Science: Environmental Science Option
The Environmental Science Option prepares students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities to seek a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or studies.
Energy and Sustainability Management Certificate
The Energy & Sustainability Management Certificate (ESM) allows you to earn college credit while preparing for a career in green building, energy efficiency auditing, and renewable energy.
