Cost of Attendance

Tuition charges and fees are subject to change at the discretion of the Board of Higher Education or, as appropriate, the college's Board of Trustees. Additional fees may be added to some courses, please see below under “Other Charges” for more information.  Payment must be made at time of registration.

Residency Tuition

Students registering for classes at Bunker Hill Community College, who are claiming entitlement to in-state tuition, must complete the Massachusetts Community College Instate Tuition Eligibility Form. An eligible person shall mean a U.S. Citizen, lawful immigrant, permanent resident, or holder of another legal immigration status who has satisfied the duration residency requirement of six months prior to the start of the semester of enrollment, but not more than one year prior to that date and can demonstrate his/her intent to remain in Massachusetts. The institution reserves the right to make any additional inquiries regarding the applicant’s status and to require submission of any additional documentation it deems necessary. Students enrolled in certain programs must pay an additional $50.00 High-Cost Fee per credit hour.

Applied Music Courses must pay an additional $375.00 per course.  Please note:  All fees are subject to change.
 
A malpractice liability insurance fee may apply for some health courses.

  • Massachusetts Residents (MA): $250/credit
    per credit: $24 tuition/$216 course fees/$10 technology fee
  • Non-Massachusetts Residents and International Students: $456/credit
    per credit: $230 tuition/$216 course fees/$10 technology fee
  • The New England Regional Student Program: $262/credit
    per credit: $36 tuition/$216 course fees/$10 technology fee
    (Available to students from Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont who are approved by the Academic Records Office.)

The New England Regional Student Program (NERSP) allows students from the six New England states, who are enrolled in some programs not offered by their home-state public colleges or universities, to pay a reduced tuition rate.   • Transcript Fee: $4.25 paper transcript /$6.00 electronic transcript

*Massachusetts state law requires that all students taking nine (9) or more credits in the Fall and/or Spring semester must have medical insurance. There are no exceptions.
