Since the Office’s founding in 2008, it has received several national and regional recognitions and awards:

  • Named to President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2013
  • Classified as a Community Engagement Institution in the categories of Curricular Engagement and Outreach and Partnerships from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching 2008
  • Awarded a Massachusetts Campus Compact AmeriCorps *VISTA 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012
  • Awarded a $2,500 gift from the Wal-Mart Foundation and the HandsOn Network in 2010
  • Recognized for extraordinary volunteer service participation from the Charles River Conservancy and Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger in 2011
