Friday, February 24, 2017

The Baker-Polito Administration announced yesterday $1.25 million dollars in Performance Incentive Fund grants to be awarded to a select group of Massachusetts state universities and community colleges through the Department of Higher Education.

Designed to drive innovation through the public higher education system, the grant allows Bunker Hill Community College to continue its work with partners the University of Massachusetts Boston and the Chelsea Public Schools to create intensive professional development programs for educators focused on “culturally relevant and inclusive practices.” The partnership will also work to align the curriculum between Chelsea High School and BHCC, and build upon its Latino Student Success: Building Pathways from High School to Baccalaureate program.
